The First Night of SEAF Performances

Finally, despite a pandemic and raging forest fires, the Seattle Erotic Art Festival is proud to invite you to a decadent evening of sensuous performances! On Saturday, October 24th, join your host Boom Boom L’Roux live at 9:00 pm (PDT) as she takes you on a journey of delightful sights of the hottest performers around. With her own spicy flavor, Boom Boom melts hearts and captivates souls. SEAF is honored to have such a fabulous artist and producer putting together this year’s performances.

Get ready for classic burlesque, spoken word, vertical and horizontal dances, aerial shenanigans, and bondage performances, among the evening’s offerings. There will even be a tour of the visual art during the intermission.

For $15, “Performance Friends” get access to the live show.
For $25, “Performance Lovers” get access to the live show, with a shout out for donating to SEAF.
For $50, “Performance Angels” get access to the live show, ability to view the recording for 5 days, a SEAF 2020 exhibition catalog, and a special shout out for donating to SEAF.

Introducing our first set of performers!

In no particular order:

 

DasBee is Seattle’s premier BIPOC pole entertainer. Earning accolades across the country in competitions and shows alike, DasBee hasn’t met a crowd she couldn’t dazzle. This dynamic performer enjoys exploring sensual movement and whole heartedly lives by the motto, “when in doubt, booty out.” When not on stage, DasBee shares her love of dance as an instructor at local pole studios and private events. Moscato Extatique is a classically trained dancer and award winning choreographer based out of Seattle, WA where they earned a BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts. This tempting tart is one fourth of world renowned burlesque sensations Mod Carousel, a dancer for House of Verlaine, and has graced the stage in BenDeLaCreme’s Beware the Terror of Gaylord Manor and Verlaine & McCann’s Through the Looking Glass: The Burlesque Alice in Wonderland  and Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker. Moscato is the newest Teacher at Miss Indigo Blue’s Academy of Burlesque. They have also appeared in the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, Montreal’s Bagel Burlesque Expo, Texas Burlesque Festival, Freezing Tassel Burlesque Festival, the Moisture Festival, as well as The Seattle & New York Boylesque Festivals. Moscato made their mark on the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender stage as the first AMAB non-binary individual to compete in the Best Debut category and took home the title of Best Large Group with Mod Carousel.

 

 

Hailing from South Central Los Angeles and based in Seattle, Washington, spICE! (she/her/hers) is a seasoned and dynamic performer. The High Priestess of Hips debuted at the Sunday Night Shuga Shaq in 2014 and is a seasoned veteran of the show. In Seattle, spICE! performs as a core member of the Burlesque Super Troupe, The Atomic Bombshells.  spICE! has taught “Hips Don’t Lie” at Miss Indigo Blue’s Academy of Burlesque, Burlycon and Afrotease.  She has performed in the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival (2016; 2017), Seattle Moisture Festival (2017), the inaugural What the Funk? Festival (2019/featured performer) and Afrotease: The Cookout and The 4th Anniversary (2019 & 2020/featured performer). In 2019, spICE! became a House of Knyle Diamond and was crowned the 2019-2020 Bronze Beauties of Burlesque Ambassador Queen.

 

Madame Posh and Bound Mystic are a Texas based rope bondage suspension couple, who have been tying together almost 2 years. Bound Mystic is her primary performance partner and they delight is creating exhilarating rope performances. Madame Posh has performed at Ropecraft twice in 2018 and 2019, Highly Melanated hosted by Obsidian LA, KEW Virtual Workshop 2020, and Whips in the Woods Leather Retreat!. She is the founder of The Factory DFW, a non-profit alternative kink event production company, which produces, The Kink Showcase, KEW Workshop, and All Black Everything Weekend or ABE Weekend 2021. She is the co-founder of the Kink Activist Support Fund Organization, The BANK Collective kink educational group, The MP Experience YouTube Channel, and a curator for Unkink the Margin.

 

 

Saira Barbaric (they / ze / she / he) is a nonbinary trans, Black queer, cane-leaning writer, performance artist and filmmaker. Saira’s work crafts nuanced representation and genuine exultation of trans people, of disabled people and of black people. A 2013 Costume Design graduate of the BFA program at The Theater School of Depaul University, Saira’s growing avenue is visual art that plays with fabric, crafts and collage through Dadaist principles. Saira strives to blend genders and bend genres in their films and performance while exploring speculative fiction, erotica, Afropsychedlic and glitch aesthetics. Since 2015, Saira’s work has shown over thirteen cities around the United States, two in Europe and three in Canada. Saira is currently a coordinator for Night Crush, a queer Seattle nightlife staple; a producer/performer at Mouthwater Dance, an emerging dance and media company as well as a co-founder of Scumtrust Productions, a nonbinary porn project. Across medium and discipline, Saira is invested in making worlds that pursue all the possibilities of aesthetically specific, physically integrated Afrofutures.

 

Gay Lady Duo is a wife-and-wife pair of aerial performers based in Louisville, KY. They are driven by their love of circus arts, queer art, social justice, and each other. With years of professional training and performing experience on a myriad of aerial apparatus, their audiences are always impressed by their strength and skill, but also express their awe of the love and passion that Gay Lady Duo exhibits every time they perform. They are usually busy steaming up stages across the eastern United States, but in these pandemic times, they’ll just get you hot and bothered in your living room! They’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to vote. Now and in every election. Let’s get better people in every level of government whose actions show that Black lives matter.
