Seduction: Monstrous needs performers and volunteers

Hello, freaky darlings. Let’s be seductive together. Seduction needs volunteers, performers, makers, and artists! Help make this year’s Seduction one to remember and apply to be a part of the behind-the-scenes crew.

Performers

Event producer, performance artist, and burlesque performer, Carson St. Clair, has graciously accepted the role of Mistress of Monsters for this year’s Seduction, and will be curating a host of monstrous performers. Stipends are available for up to four artists to create, build, or refurbish a monster-themed costume and perform two 30-minute immersive sets. Performers are asked to engage with participants in character, interact with the art projects or installations, and/or perform a durational act for participants to observe. Please go here and complete the application by Friday, September 22, to be considered.

Volunteers

Seduction is a intimate spooky affair on a smaller scale than the weekend-long adventure that is SEAF. That said, we still need a group of dedicated volunteers. Volunteer roles include setup, tear down, keeping the gallery inviting, security, and other tasks. Volunteers willing to take on the graveyard shift (the last two hours of the event and teardown) will have shorter shifts and receive special swag in thanks. If that sounds like something you’re willing to help us with, please sign up here!

Artists and Makers

Finally, all you artists and makers with a penchant for the strange and unusual! We haven’t forgotten you. We are looking for large-scale art, set pieces, or interactive elements. Themes need to be in the vein of Dr. Jekyll’s lab, a monster’s lair, or anything else monstrous. Please email Sophia at director@seattleerotic.org with your ideas.

We look forward to the opportunity to work with you! Seduction: Monstrous is a fundraiser for the 2024 Seattle Erotic Art Festival. By helping put on Seduction, you help make SEAF go!
