Less than a month to go, my art lovers! I know we’re all excited for all the extravagant delights that make the Seattle Erotic Art Festival what it is. As you’re making your way through the festival and taking in all the delightfully saucy sights and sounds, please don’t forget to look not only at the art on the walls but also the art above them. We have a fun and fantastic line up this year! Without further adieu, the Seattle Erotic Art Festival is proud to present our SEAF 2024 Aerial & Bondage Spotlight Performers:
Traviesa
Duo Aerial Pole
“Call and Response”
Traviesa, a Seattle-based aerialist and dancer, is known for her character work ranging from bubbly, sexy charm to terrifying, desperate anger by finding creative moments between dazzling spectacles onstage. She’s excited to debut a duo aerial pole piece alongside Oroki, where they will examine play, power dynamics, and what could happen when they flip the script.
Oroki
Duo Aerial Pole
“Call and Response”
Oroki is a Seattle-based circus arts performer who explores expression and storytelling through aerial and acrobatic movements. They’ve performed burlesque, circus, and kink across the West Coast and currently teach at SANCA and Emerald City Trapeze Arts here in Seattle. At SEAF 2024, Traviesa and Oroki will debut an aerial pole piece examining play, power dynamics, and what could happen when we flip the script.
Liza Myachina
Aerial Net
“Siren’s Song”
Liza Myachina is a circus artist who loves bringing characters to life. With over a decade of experience, she uses her skills to shock audiences and give them a show they will never forget. For her 2024 SEAF performance, she will lure you in with her siren song. Beware that you don’t fall under her spell, for she is more dangerous than she appears.
Shay & Angel
Suspension Bondage & Aerial Straps
“White Rabbit”
Shay and Angel are known for fiery chemistry and unique, acrobatic, sometimes ridiculous rope shenanigans. They focus their intense connection into dynamic and provocative rope sequences that meld bondage with circus. Through a balance of contrasting roles and synchronous symmetry, their 2024 SEAF performance balances individuality and collaboration, embodying complementary energies born to merge and soar as one.
Amy Funbuttons
Aerial Rope
Amy Funbuttons, rope hussy, has been performing in the Seattle area for years and is excited to return to the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival. This irreverent showgirl dabbles in several disciplines, including (but not limited to) costume design, fire-eating, feline telepathy, and going to bed early! She is delighted to have her art included in the SEAF collection this year: Look for My Succulent Oyster, Spoonin Leads to Forkin, and Hanging Gardens.
The VixXxens of Athena
Burlesque Aerialists
“Sensual Awakening”
The VixXxens of Athena are known for sensual storytelling utilizing a variety of dance mediums, including pole, chair, floorwork, and aerial arts. Their strong team dynamic enables focus on each dancer’s growth, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in their art and elevation of their craft. Using aerial cube, aerial cage, and heels technique, this piece examines quiet sensuality through the grace of movement and the fire that burns within when we command our sexuality.
Myles Higher
Aerial Hoop
“Contact”
Myles Higher is a multidisciplinary aerial artist specializing in aerial hoop and aerial rope. They use circus arts as a medium to tell queer stories with momentum and gravity. “Contact,” their 2024 SEAF performance, is a dirty love letter to queer leather and sexuality.
