Late Night at the Art Festival

After the panels and performances are done, we shift gears to create a night club vibe within the festival. SEAF Late Night is when we invite the go-go dancers and flow artists to take the stage while the DJs tempt you on to the dance floor. It’s a winning combination of music, fabulous people, and art.

A Special Late Night Only Ticket

For those of you who just can’t make it down earlier in the day, we created the Late Night Only ticket. This ticket allows entry to the festival starting at 10:00 pm on Friday, April 26th or Saturday, April 27th. Yes, you will miss the main stage performance showcases, but the lights never go out on the visual and interactive art. We have ambient performances around the festival that continue into the evening. There is a new cozy Late Night event over in the Library for when you need a break from dancing.

Meet the DJs

DJ Max Gains (Friday)

Meet Max Gain, your neighborhood funk slingin’ DJ. Originally from Dallas Texas and residing in Tacoma Washington, you can catch Max spreading the funk around the Pacific Northwest.

diem (Saturday)

The scene: San Diego in 1993. diem moved to the beach haven after living in Australia for a year. House music was a relative newcomer to San Diego, and the beach and rock vibe would have diem rocking Richard Humpty Vission tracks the same night as AC/DC and Jimmy Buffet. That time was very influential and why he loves playing pretty much anything that gets him and the crowd dancing and smiling. diem is known for dancing behind the decks and joining the crowd mid-set.

diem resides in the PNW, having called Seattle home since 2001. He has performed in clubs and at festivals across the US, Canada, Hawaii, and Mexico. He defines his sound as “hardtribaldisco”, which is a blend of tribal Latin rhythms, hard funk, house beats, and breaks, to become the layered evil disco that gets everyone’s booty moving. This November will be his 30th year performing, so be sure to check him out and bring your boogie shoes! Keep track of diem at facebook.com/diemdj and djdiem.com

Mz ArTiz (Saturday)

Mz ArTiz, the alias of Seattle native and beloved DJ Cristina Ortiz. A trusted selector behind the decks both on her own and as one-half of the duo Wonder Twinz alongside fellow local DJ Julie Herrera. Mz ArTiz’s sets always have a unique flair of infectious energy that’s primed to keep the dance floor moving.
