Happy New Year to all of you bad and beautiful artists, art lovers, party-goers, and everyone else who has kept this festival alive and celebrating erotic art for 23 years! We are still in the Call for Art, with 15 days left! So drink some water, have a healthy breakfast, and let’s do this! But first, a couple quick reminders.
Not everyone uses the portal!
If you are submitting to Visual, Literary, or Store, you will be submitting your work through the artist portal. Every year we take a look at the portal and ask how we can make this a more seamless experience for our artists, and we hope you’ll find it even easier to use. A video walking through the portal and submissions process can be found here (scroll down when you get there).
For Film, you will be submitting your work through Film Freeway. Performance artists need to use a different Google form.
You can add submissions and make changes until the call closes!
While a deadline can be very motivating, you also can’t rush the process. So even if you’re not quite ready, or only have one piece finished with more to come, go ahead and register now. You can continue to edit and add to your submissions until the Call for Art closes.
Check the FAQ and the Submission Guidelines pages for changes!
We know we’ve been switching things up a lot the last couple years as we endeavor to update our process and make it even easier on all our artists. All our directors and leads are standing by to answer questions and help as we can. Start with the FAQ and all the Call for Art pages. There is so much information there, they should have what you’re looking for. If the FAQ or info page still does not answer your question, you are welcome to reach out to us via either email (info@seaf.art) or you can call us at (206) 229-2185.
This year is the year you should submit!
If there’s one thing we’ve learned, its that waiting for an ideal circumstance isn’t the best strategy. Now is the time to take that risk, to give life to that idea that’s been swimming provocatively in the back of your brain. The last few years have been a rollercoaster for many of us, but we’re still here, heading into this new year with you, and we want to see everything you’ve made. Happy New Year.
