Counting down the Call for Art

Hey there, you creative cuties! It’s been a whirlwind month and change, and we have been so delighted to see your submissions coming in! We’re now entering the CFA Final Week. This is your last chance to submit to Visual, Literary, or the Store.

CFA Final Week: Three aerialists hanging upside down from a metal frame in the shape of a cube at the 2024 Seattle Erotic Art Festival.

Check your dates!

Remember, the CFA Final Week deadline on January 15, 2025 is only for Visual, Literary, and the Store. Performance goes until February 17, and Film goes until March 8. Visual, Literary, and Store all submit through the artist portal. Film submits through Film Freeway. Performance artists need to use this Google form.

Check your submissions!

If you have already submitted art, and are simply waiting with baited breath, now would be a good time to double check your entries. Did all of your images upload correctly? Did you remember to go back and change your filler bio to the bio you would actually like us to print? Are there any typos in your titles or name? Did you accidentally put identifying information in your notes (remember, it’s a blind jury)? Even if you think everything is good, it doesn’t hurt to double check.

If you haven’t submitted anything yet, don’t worry! You have time! We probably get almost half of our entries in the last week of submissions every year. We’re not encouraging this behavior, but if you’re sliding in under the wire you’re in good company. What matters is that you did the hard thing and shared your art with strangers.

And thank you!

As always, we are forever grateful to all the creatives who find the courage to submit to the festival every year. We very literally cannot do this without you. Many of us on the committee are also artists or writers or performers of one variety or another, and we understand all the effort you put into your work.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if anything is unclear or you have additional questions. The Call for Art pages contain a trove of information, and if you’re really stuck you can always email us at info@seaf.art. They can get you answers, or get you to people who have answers.
