This is the moment your training has brought you to. You have raided every art store in town to have exactly the supplies you need. The fridge is full of your caffeine of choice and your preferred word processor open. The playlist is set and the notebook nearby for choreography notes. That order for 30 lbs. of rhinestones has been placed. Creatives of all mediums, you are ready, and I am delighted to announce that the 2025 Call for Art is open!
Register before December 15!
We will be offering a special Early Bird discounted fee of $20 for submissions before December 15. After the 15th, the submission fee with be $38. We are also happy to continue to offer a scholarship program to artists from traditionally marginalized communities. (If you are just here to support art and artists, kindly consider donating to our scholarship program here.)
Visual, Literary, and Store use the portal!
If you are submitting to Visual, Literary, or Store, you will be submitting your work through the artist portal. Every year we take a look at the portal and ask how we can make this a more seamless experience for our artists, and we hope you’ll find it even easier to use. The festival director, Sophia Sky, will be hosting a virtual art portal tour and Q&A session on December 4 at 7 pm. Register here!
For Film, you will be submitting your work through Film Freeway. Interactive artists need to use this Google form. Performance artists need to use a different Google form.
You can register now, and continue to add submissions throughout the call!
While a deadline can be very motivating, you also can’t rush the process. So even if you’re not quite ready, or only have one piece finished with more to come, go ahead and register now. Take advantage of that Early Bird discount. You can continue to edit and add to your submissions until the Call for Art closes.
Check the FAQ and the Submission Guidelines pages for changes!
We know we’ve been switching things up a lot last couple years as we endeavor to update our process and make it even easier on all our artists. All our directors and leads are standing by to answer questions and help as we can. Start with the FAQ and all the Call for Art pages. There is so much information there, they should have what you’re looking for.
If you have any questions about the 2025 Call for Art, please consult the FAQ and the Submissions Guidelines and Fees page. If the FAQ or info page still does not answer your question, you are welcome to reach out to us via either email (info@seaf.art) or you can call us at (206) 229-2185.
