Hello all you lovers of art in its countless forms! Gather ’round, and I shall spin you a tale of naughty stories, provocative readings, and a host of authors that specialize in all things sexy. There is boundless eroticism in the written word, and we are excited to share it with you at the SEAF 2021 literary events!
Of course, 2021 Anthology will be available for purchase in the festival store, and also online. This year’s anthology features 22 artists who have crafted an array of poems, short stories, and prose for your reading pleasure. This year’s anthology will also include work from our first Literary Master of Erotic Art, David Jones. There will be two versions of the Anthology cover this year – one censored, one uncensored. You can only buy the uncensored version on site in the festival store!
Writers Meet & Greet, and Anthology Signing
Care to meet the delightful and deviant wordsmiths who contributed to the anthology? Maybe even get them to sign your copy? On Friday, October 29, from 6:00 – 6:30 pm, you will have that opportunity!
Anthology Readings
Listen to the literary artists from this year’s Anthology tease you with just a small taste of their work. If they leave you hungry for more, you can always hop over to the store, pick up a book, and keep reading. The Anthology Readings are Friday, October 29, from 6:30 – 7:30pm and Saturday, October 30, from 7:00 – 7:30pm, and 8:30 – 9:00pm.
Poetry Corner
Orchestrated and MC’ed by David Jones, with some assistance from Terry Johnson, the Poetry Corner will feature the works of SEAF alumni as well as new voices. Poetry Corner is Friday, October 29, from 8:30 – 9:00pm.
Wanderlust
This unique art tour takes you through the exhibition to hear poetry and prose inspired by the very art on the walls. The writers who participate in Wanderlust are given an opportunity to observe the art, interact with it, and then express what it ignites within them. Wanderlust has two sessions on Saturday, October 30, from 4:00 – 4:30pm and from 6:30 – 7:00pm.
Author Signings
On Saturday, October 30, we have two signings at the store! At 3:30 pm, one of our Masters of Erotic Art, David Steinberg, will be signing copies of the memoir, The Shepherd and the Nymph. This memoir is based on letters exchanged between Eva Diana and Marco Vassi—celebrated writer, philosopher, and sex explorer—reflecting on their relationship and offering a peek inside the 1980’s sexual underground in New York. The work is edited and published by David Steinberg.
At 6:00pm, SEAF alumni Clea Salar, and her partner Tallis Salar, will be celebrating the release of their debut novel, Frost Flower, a spicy sci-fi romp that follows Bellatrix Tres, a xenoarcheologist who finds herself at the edge of known space with a small team, plumbing the secrets of a lost temple trapped under miles of ocean and ice. When something from the temple starts to slip into their dreams, it gets very hard to maintain any distance and professionalism.
Copies of both The Nymph and the Shepherd and Frost Flower will be available in the festival store.
Come join us for a delicious weekend of erotic artistry!
