The Seduction planning team wants you to have a spectacularly spooky, sexy time at our party this Saturday. While our festivities can get a little wild, please remember that ALL events held by the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture, Center for Sex Positive Culture, and the Seattle Erotic Art Festival are SAFE SPACES. Do your part in making the Seduction party comfortable for all by learning more about our consent policy and Seduction security team.
Seduction Security
Our events are built on respect, and we have a system and staff in place to help correct anyone who doesn’t exhibit that respect. Consent is paramount, and your safety is our top priority. Throughout the night, you’ll see our team of security staff wearing shirts that say “Obey Me” on the front (“Seduction Security” on the back). They’ll be patrolling the venue and keeping you safe, so you can focus on all the fun. If you see something, say something. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the security team!
Consent Policy
(click here for the full FSPC/CSPC policy)
1| No touching people or property without permission. Costumes (or the lack thereof) do NOT equal consent.
2| Treat everyone as an equal by default. Everyone has the responsibility to obtain, provide, or withhold consent, regardless of power dynamics, race, gender, ethnicity, ability, age, orientation, relationship status, or any other identity (including costumed identity).
3| Each participant is responsible for making sure that everyone involved has the capacity to give informed and voluntary consent during activities. Have a friend who you think is too intoxicated to provide consent to an after party they were invited to? Let our Security team know!
4| All participants are responsible for stopping immediately any activity at the withdrawal of consent from anyone, whether it’s dancing, or having a bondage ride. Be clear and unequivocal in your consent. If that super-hot Captain Kirk decides they don’t want to dance with you anymore…just because? That’s completely ok, and the dancing must end immediately.
5| If your consent is violated, or if you have any other safety concerns, verbally notify the Security team (look for the Obey Me shirts!), or any of our event staff.
I think we’re officially all set for Seduction. Go put the final touches on your costume, and get ready to have a great night with us Saturday!
