I took a lot of risks on new things this year; Rm. 1618, two main stages, and Aaaahz! among others that were probably not as visible unless you were on the planning team. Luckily, I survived the fear that accompanies new things and made it to the joy of being a part of an amazing event.
Thank you for making SEAF2016 amazing. Thank you for submitting your art, buying a ticket, buying art, for making art, and being art! The official photos are up and you look marvelous!
Because of your support, we paid all our bills and have the seed money for next year’s festival. Seduction’s rent is paid for, too! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 29th for Seattle’s sexiest Halloween party!
Because of you, less art had to be shipped back to artists. We sold 20% of the art in the exhibition, and thousands of pieces in the store.
Because of you, we get to do this all over again on April 28-30, 2017! Please take a few minutes to help us prepare for SEAF2017 via our online survey. Your feedback is invaluable. If you share your email address at the end, we will enter you into a drawing for a special prize. (We have a super limited edition deck of cards, Lost In The Shuffle by SEAF2016 artist David Peterman.) Go to survey now.
Yours with much love and gratitude, brimming with ideas for next year,
Sophia Iannicelli
Festival Director
With Leila Anasazi, Rm. 1618 Headmistress
PS: The planning team is talking about having a SEAF2016 Reunion in August. We miss all the volunteers we got to work with and don’t want to wait until Seduction or next year to see you again. More info when we have it.
