Late Night at the Festival: Lights Down, Music Up!

Erotic is not just an art classification. It’s an atmosphere, a state of mind, and a way of being. We want the art at the Festival to inspire you, but we also want to foster an atmosphere to let you celebrate and inhabit that state of being. So we invite you to Late Night at the Festival.

Friday, May 30

Friday’s Late Night at the Festival is going to be a night of sensuous rhythms and decadence. Brought to you by the same minds that created the Seattle Fusion Experiment, we’re inviting you to come out of your shell a little bit. Kicking off the night will be a drop-in dance lesson with Joshua Sacks (founder of the Seattle Fusion Experiment). He’ll teach you how to get your full-body flirt on. Our bartenders will be at the ready turning out the cocktails, and DJ David Keogh will be building the atmosphere with music to keep you dancing.

David Keogh’s music features sultry downtempo beats layered over lush piano, violin and electronics. He was a DJ at the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival in 2013, and performs live sets for social dance festivals around the country featuring original and remixed music chosen specifically for dancers. David’s music can be found on Reverb Nation

Saturday, May 31

Join us on Saturday for a pulsing, body-rocking Late Night experience. We’re going to fill the Exhibition Hall with music that gets you moving and excites you almost as much as the art does. Almost. DJs Ramiro (Uniting Souls) and Keith Myers (Los Angeles) will keep the beats going and our bartenders will make sure your favorite drink is always at the ready. Music, cocktails, and the sexiest setting Seattle can offer.

Since making Seattle his new home in 2000, Ramiro has been “an inextinguishable accelerant of Seattle’s house scene” (Seattle Weekly), producing and performing at over 500 events in the past decade. Beginning in 2006, Ramiro has also spearheaded the record label branch, Uniting Souls Music, with 4 consecutive sold-out vinyl releases, and licensed tracks to San Francisco’s legendary Om Records (for DJ Heather & Onionz’ “Summer Sessions” double-disc), Vancouver B.C.’s NordicTrax, and Belgium’s Beaubar label. Ramiro has also produced label showcases in New York & at WMC in Miami Beach.

During the last ten years, Keith Myers has focused much of his blood, sweat, and beers into rocking the hardest, most bad-ass house music you will ever hear. With roots stretched out in the San Francisco rave scene and cyber-trance culture, Keith progressed from playing raves in the early days to performing at sold-out, exclusive club nights in Amsterdam and Las Vegas. The last Keith Myers Mix CD titled “Industry” was recently independently released and sold over 5500 copies in it’s first 90 days. Keith loves spending time in the studio working on numerous remix projects with his buddy Count Ninjula.
