Hey there, glorious art lovers! We’re one month out from the 2025 Seattle Erotic Art Festival, and we know you’re getting excited! Today we’re talking to those of you who are hoping for a bit more of a physical experience at the festival. Something that lets you reach into yourself and manifest that seductive energy through movement. Yes, we are talking about the Erotic Movement Lab.

The 2025 Erotic Movement Lab is an experiment and an experience—the place where you can witness yourself as erotic art, using sensual movement and dance as your medium. Over the course of two days, we’ll host eight unique workshops specifically curated for the Seattle Erotic Art Festival. Our movement theme this year is the exploration of archetypes, identities, and parts of the body through the lens of erotic art— curious? Come play.
New This Year
Our multi-workshop pass is getting an upgrade! You can now choose ANY 4 workshops to include on your workshop pass, regardless of day. This allows you to create the sensual movement experiment of your desires. Lover of lap dances? Give yourself a chance to do it twice, and still have 2 more workshops of your choosing.
To celebrate revamped multi-workshop passes, we are also offering you a FREE Saturday festival ticket with the purchase of a multi-workshop pass. Fully immerse yourself in an embodied erotic experience.
2025 Erotic Movement Lab workshops are accessible to all experience levels, body types, and genders. You can come solo or bring your lovers and friends. All workshops are consent-oriented, body positive, and celebratory— our goal is to make you feel safe, seen, and honored in your erotic journey.

The 2025 Workshops
Fcking Filthy Lap Dance (Jordan)
Fcking Filthy Lap Dance explores the dirty, dirty, dirty side of lap dancing. Lots of in-your-face fun in this class! All levels of dance and movement backgrounds are welcome from advanced to no experience at all. After a consent conversation with your partner, participants will learn a short choreography they can take with them or use individual moves in whatever order makes you feel good. Lap dance pairs will have the option of only one person learning the moves, or to switch and allow both participants to learn. A note on clothing: whatever makes you feel filthy! If wanting to incorporate stripping, please bring a top and bottom layer to remove; genitalia and nipples must be covered (applicable to all genders).
Playful Lap Dance (Jordan)
Who says we have to take ourselves seriously when giving a lap dance? The Playful Lapdance is for those who like to laugh – at the bar, during sex, wherever! After a consent conversation with your partner (solo folks will be paired up according to comfort levels), participants will learn a short choreography they can take with them or use individual moves in whatever order makes you feel good. Lap dance pairs will have the option of only one person learning the moves, or to switch and allow both participants to learn. A note on clothing: feel free to wear something funny or surprising underneath to surprise your partner if you want to incorporate stripping; genitalia and nipples must be covered (applicable to all genders).
Harnessing Your Inner Feline (Judas Saint James)
This class is about how to approach movement through your own personal feline energy. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about some of the mythical origins of feline deities in Africa and Egypt with a special focus on Bastet. Bastet is a Kemetic (Egyptian) goddess of cats, sensuality, pleasure, dance and healing. Many of these things fall under movement and performance art. Understanding her energy and how we can tap into it as people and performers will be at the core of this class. This class is about embracing and validating individuality and inner confidence and then applying it through slow burn movements and audience interaction. While movement will be part of this class, Harnessing Your Inner Feline focuses on looking inward and exploring your own energetics around eroticism and sensuality.
The Body as Fine Art (Jeni)
How can you interpret the painter’s brush stroke, the sculpting of clay into a beautiful form, or the spoken word through movement? In this all-level, freestyle workshop, participants will explore their bodies and movement through prompts drawn from multiple artistic disciplines. We’ll embody these artistic disciplines with prompts and exercises that encourage integration and curiosity. Knee pads and socks recommended; a very limited selection of extra knee pads will be available to borrow.
Snake Charmer: The Art of Seductive Dance (Jeni)
Want to hypnotize your lover (and yourself!) with luscious rolls and slinky undulations? In this all-level workshop, we’ll utilize Belly dance techniques and exercises to explore slinky, sensual movement. We will focus on specific movements in multiple positions and expressive options, blending technique and personal erotic style to captivate and entice your audience, whether with a partner(s) or just for you! Knee pads and socks recommended; a very limited selection of extra knee pads will be available to borrow.
More classes to be announced!
Our roster is almost complete, with three more classes to round out our day of exploration and movement. Check back soon for details!
Meet the Instructors

Jordan
Jordan (she/her) is a queer dance instructor with a focus on offering structure and support for each individual to find their unique version of empowerment through self and movement. She thrives on learning and expanding access to dance, to empowerment, to sensuality. Whether you have a movement background or are just starting out, are disabled or recovering from an injury, she loves holding space and designing prompts for everyone. Come play and explore!

Jeni
Jeni, aka The Lebanese Blonde, loves slow, sensual movement with a strong focus on musicality, emotional expression, and flow. With 20 years of experience in belly dance, 10 years of pole and sensual movement, and a year of pole and erotic dance instruction under her (coin!) belt, Jeni loves to create a playful, supportive environment where dancers can sink deeply into their bodies and the music while showcasing their unique skills and artistry. As a former Special Education teacher, providing guidance for students from all walks of life in a gentle, trauma-informed way is essential to her teaching style. Jeni is excited to be a part of SEAF Movement Lab, and can’t wait to dance with you!

Judas Saint James
Crowned Seattle’s Queer Monarch 2022, Judas Saint James has been bringing awareness to BIPOC alternative queer culture with their unique mixture of burlesque, storytelling and erotic spirituality. As a healer and performer Judas has remained loyal to their mission of reclaiming the black origins of rock n roll and helping marginalized people see their true internal divinity through mythical story telling and performance rituals.
These workshops will be held Saturday, May 3rd, and Sunday, May 4th from 11am-4:30p at the Seattle Opera Hall.
